About Us
For over 53 years, Bedrock has been a cornerstone of jewellery education in Edmonton, AB, Canada. Renowned locally and internationally for the quality of our classes, we proudly welcome visiting artists from around the world to inspire, teach, and share their expertise.
Our mission is to provide exceptional adult education through hands-on instruction across a wide variety of art forms. Whether you’re exploring a new hobby, building foundational skills, or beginning your journey toward a career in jewellery making, we have the perfect class to support your creativity and growth.
Most of our courses include all tools and materials, so you can simply show up, have fun, and create something unique and beautiful. We offer a diverse range of classes for all skill levels — from beginner to advanced.
Beyond classes, Bedrock Studios also offers a variety of services, including Studio Rental, Monthly Memberships, 3D Printing, Beading Repair, Casting, Mold Making and Soapstone Repair.
Formerly Bedrock Supply, Bedrock Studios was opened by granddaughters Jennifer and Robyn Cornelius, grand daughters of the original founder’s family. We’re proud to continue Bedrock’s legacy while expanding into what we are truly passionate about — nurturing creativity in our vibrant new studio space, your creative playground for jewellery and more.
Class Registration
You may register for any class online, or while at the store.
Class fees must be paid in advance to hold a student’s spot on the list.
Reminders for All Students

Please write the class dates in your calendar.

Purchase materials at least 30 minutes prior to the class.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes earlier than your class is scheduled.

For your safety: tie your hair back, wear cotton (non-synthetic) clothing and closed-toe shoes. » Bring an apron; we use many chemicals that can harm clothing.

Most silversmithing classes are designed for students aged 16 years or older. The minimum age limit for other classes is up to the class teacher’s discretion.
Supplies
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, our class prices include the supplies required to create a project. We strongly recommend that our students arrive at the store in advance of the class, in order to acquire their supplies ahead of time.
SOME OF OUR CLASSES DO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A FEW BASIC MATERIALS * Basic materials usually consist of economy bead string, base metal wire and findings, and simple glass beads. These classes DO NOT INCLUDE stone beads, precious metal beads and findings, Swarovski crystals, silk beading thread, etc. Such items are available for purchase in our store. The variety of colours/styles available is limited.
Please ask our staff in advance of a class if you have any questions (or want recommendations) about the tools and/or materials you'll need to create a project that you will LOVE!
Some of our silversmithing classes require a toolkit returnable for a refund minus a $25 fee. The toolkit is returnable within 7 days of the last class.
Class cancellations & Transfers
30 Days before a class the appropriate class supplies have been purchased and the teacher has made accommodations to teach the class. Many of our instructors live outside of town and some travel from other countries.
Over 30+ days notice: Full Refund or Can Transfer to another class of your choice, or have a Store Credit applied to your account. This never expires.
Under 30 Days Notice: Transfers or Store Credit on your account only.
7 Days before Class: No Refunds and No Transfers. Let us know ASAP so we can try to sell your spot for you if there is a waitlist. Many classes ran because you signed up and may be one of the only students. The teacher has already made travel and teaching arrangements, and the kits have been ordered and prepared for you etc. The teacher will still be paid for your class fee if you cancel. You are welcome to pick up your kit of supplies and handout if the kit is included in the class fee. All classes come with a handout and some classes have a video tutorial.
You may transfer classes only once, or you will be given a credit on account.
Once you have attended and started a class but cannot finish the rest of the dates, your spot cannot be filled and cannot be refunded. The teacher is not responsible to catch you up for missed classes. In multiple week classes, you can catch up in the next class.
If you no show to a class, you could as a last minute cancellation and there is no refund or transfer. The teacher will be paid for your spot. They prepped for your attendance, you can come in and pick up your handout and or kit if it is included in your class.
FREE Classes
Classes purchased on special or coupon that give a free class. Free classes have no cash value, cannot be refunded, transferred, put on hold, banked or exchanged for a different date or class. If your free class has been cancelled by Bedrock Supply than you will be moved to the next available class date for that exact class you were registered for.
Visiting Instructors
There is no refund within three months of a visiting instructors class. By this time, class levels have been met and airfare, accommodation and kits materials have been purchased.

FAQ
Do you provide International delivery?
Yes we do, just order as usual on our website. We do not accept courier pick ups and payment over the phone.
How do I return an item?
Drop by our store or ship it back to us.

What is your returns policy?
No returns on precious metals or gemstones. All other items can be returned within 30 days in original packaging, not used and with a receipt.
How do I track my order?
Tracking numbers are sent to each customer at time order is shipped.
What are your delivery options?
We use a variety of shipping local and international carriers to meet your needs.
Privacy
We do not share or distribute your personal information. We have a class email list customers subscribe to and can unsubscribe at anytime. We send roughly 1 email every 1-3 months.
